Role:
Professor Michelle Williams is the BHF Data Science Centre Associate Director and Theme Lead for Imaging.
The focus of Michelle’s theme is to explore better use of unstructured data: addressing the challenges of accessing, improving and using unstructured data, for example from cardiac and brain imaging, medical free text and electrocardiograms.
Credentials:
Professor Michelle Williams is a Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging and Honorary Radiology Consultant at the University of Edinburgh and NHS Lothian. Her research centres around multi-modality non-invasive imaging of the heart and blood vessels, including using machine learning and other advanced analytic techniques. She is president of British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging, member of the Board of Directors of the SCCT and member of the executive committee of the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology.
