Public Advisory Group

Involving people affected by heart and circulatory conditions, stroke, diabetes and/or kidney disease and members of the public in agreed priority areas of our work is at the heart of our approach. We currently work with 27 public contributors who are aligned to different areas of work and governance. We come together quarterly to share ideas.

What we do

The Public Advisory Group provides guidance and support to the BHF Data Science Centre to ensure public and patient involvement and engagement (PPIE) is embedded in all our work, where appropriate.

As a group we meet quarterly to share ideas, discuss challenges and provide guidance and support to the Centre.

Public Advisory Group Meetings

At our latest meeting in December 2024, the public advisory group discussed the importance of trustworthy partnerships from a patient and public perspective. Their input will go on to help shape the Centre’s approach to working in partnership with external organisations.
