Mike has been a patient champion and a carer ambassador for over 10 years. He is a fervent advocate of ethnicity, diversity and inclusion of the underrepresented and often marginalised groups of our society. He is passionate about participating and collaborating in committees and boards to help tackle and remove barriers to diverse engagement in research.
He enjoys working with researchers as a lay member or as a co-applicant to ensure their research initiatives promise to deliver what matters to people, help reduce health inequalities, and that patients’ and carers’ perspective reverberates throughout the research process.
