Role:
Jessica is the Communications Manager for the Centre, leading on communications and events around cutting-edge cardiovascular research, to tell the compelling story of the Centre’s impact.
Credentials:
Jessica previously worked in the Research Communications team at Diabetes UK. She led on Diabetes UK’s communications for the Type 1 Diabetes Grand Challenge, a multi-million-pound partnership supporting talented scientists and their ground-breaking research, with the aim to speed up the race to new treatments and a cure for type 1 diabetes.
Jessica has a background in physics, with a PhD in Acoustic Metamaterials and a Master’s in Astrophysics, both from the University of Exeter. Her passion for science communication was sparked during her PhD, inspired by teaching, outreach, and public engagement events.
