Beth Friel

Role:

Beth is a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Manager for the BHF Data Science Centre, leading on the delivery of the PPIE Strategy to ensure meaningful involvement and engagement of patients and the public to shape and influence the Centre’s work.

Credentials:

Prior to joining HDR UK, Beth worked as a Research and Involvement Officer at Carers Trust Scotland, leading on nationwide research projects to better understand the lived experiences of unpaid carers across Scotland. As part of this role, Beth also led on carer involvement practices within research to ensure unpaid carers were meaningful participants in shaping research activities and outcomes.

Beth has a background in public policy with an MSc in Public Policy and Management from the University of Glasgow.
